Wash basin

Was not sure how to categorize this.

This is important. There is one outside every temple in Japan.
Not necessarily every shrine, but every temple definitely.

The water in the basin is clean, you upon walking up to the temple are not.
In order to cleans yourself, you wash your left hand, then your right hand, and finally you take a sip of the water.
Then you are considered cleaned, and can enter the temple.
